I found your exploration of the meaning of self-organization at the scale of the brain and the universe to be quite suggestive. Your concept that order comes in the form of ever-flowing emergence aligns closely with an idea I wrote about in an article that discussed the difference between living and non-living systems. I had a similar conclusion to yours that "natural systems become structured by their own internal processes." This is what makes machines different from living organisms. Machines must be constructed according to an external design, while living systems contain their design in the active idea that internally directs and coordinates their living functions. In my article, which you were so kind as to comment on, I used this idea to illustrate why it was destructive for human beings to submit to artificial intelligence. The reason for this is that such submission requires a living system which has its own built-in organizing process to be commanded by a machine that must be externally programmed. This inevitably leads to the will of the human being being obedient to the programmer of the machine, as we see today in social media. The specific case in the article was Hello Barbie, a talking doll that can have a negative influence on children's imagination and autonomy. Your article sheds much light for me on the theme of self-organization of living beings so thanks!
